The Public Health Observatories will be celebrating their 10th anniversary with the Chief Medical Officer for England, Sir Liam Donaldson, at a special event at

The expertise of the PHOs lies in turning information and data into meaningful health intelligence that can help shape national policies. This is becoming ever more
crucial in addressing public health challenges and ensuring that the health and social care system is equipped with the intelligence necessary to improve health and
reduce inequalities. The growth in their expertise and capacity during the last ten years means that the observatories are now well placed to take the health
intelligence agenda forward.
The LHO will be marking the anniversary by producing a series of ten key facts about London’s health over the last ten years.
