Health Inequalities Target Data
A pilot tool to monitor progress towards reducing health inequalities in local areas
The following tool contains the data for the LHO briefing ‘The London Health Inequalities Forecast:
A briefing on inequalities in life expectancy and deaths from cancers, heart disease and stroke in
London’.
Data for the following indicators are included:
- Male and female life expectancy at birth
- All age all cause mortality rates
- Premature mortality from heart disease and stroke
- Premature mortality from cancers
- The inequality gap for male and female life expectancy (Spearhead areas only)
- The inequality gap for all age all cause mortality rates (Spearhead areas only)
- The inequality gap for premature mortality from heart disease and stroke (Spearhead areas only)
- The inequality gap for premature mortality from cancers (Spearhead areas only)
The tool enables local areas to monitor their progress towards the national health inequalities targets for life expectancy, mortality from heart disease and stroke, and mortality from cancers.
