Public Health Intelligence Training 2009

As part of Informing healthier choices, the national public health information and intelligence strategy, a programme of training was first pioneered by the South West and East Midlands Public Health Observatories. This programme is now available in several public health observatories. The LHO, in collaboration with experienced analysts across London, will be running the programme for the first time in February – May 2009

The programme provides introductory training in public health intelligence skills to meet needs of information analysts with little or no public health experience. Although primarily aimed at analysts, individual sessions may also be of benefit to public health specialists.

The course is split into two parts. Part one comprises a seven day hands-on course on analytic skills. Part two covers a further five days on managerial and partnership working skills.
